Is it possible to connect your laptop computer to your TV to have a huge computer monitor screen. I would be kind of like Matthew Broderick in the old movie War Games, sitting in front of my large console and controlling the world.
Ok, I woudn’t be controlling the world but at least I could get a grand view of my stock portfolio, which by the way has been going up a lot lately. How bout that action? Are other people feeling the economy getting better yet.
So, I have begun investigating the various ways to connect computer to TV so that I can have this huge monitor situation. Apparently, there are a variety of possibilities, including s-video, which I learned is old an bad, VGA, DVI, and HDMI. These are presented in order of the quality of the connection. As a bonus, HDMI apparently carries sound as well.
So, the next stop was to see if my computer has a HDMI port because this is the best manner of connection. I have learned that I can in fact Connect My LCD To My PC which most people cannot do because most laptop do not have an HDMI port.
But mine does which means I rule.
I now have this set up and am just like Matthew Broderick in War Games. Now, I just have to learn to control the world
